Alumni Affairs & Annual Giving Team Reorganization

AAAG is now structured under two areas of responsibility: Alumni Affairs and the Wharton Fund.

Our Alumni Affairs & Annual Giving team has been reorganized to bring about greater alignment with the AAAG goals of engaging alumni and growing revenue for the Wharton Fund.  AAAG is now structured under two areas of responsibility:  Alumni Affairs and the Wharton Fund.

There are many benefits that this structure will deliver including:

  • Clarity for the alumni audience
  • Dedicated service to clubs
  • Clarity to staff members;  having clear lines of responsibility and eliminating the dual role of affairs and fundraising
  • More consistent management of alumni engagement
  • Opportunity to leverage peer-to-peer solicitations

Please refer to the attached organizational chart.  Current staff have taken up positions within either Alumni Affairs or the Wharton Fund.  Laura Mack will take on responsibility for US Clubs.  Laura has demonstrated great leadership and engagement of clubs during her time on our team and she will bring great focus to this new role for the benefit of our US Clubs.

Some positions are currently vacant including the position for International Clubs/Affinity groups.  While waiting to fill that role, the Director of Alumni Affairs, Joan Adams Hewitt, and Jillian McGowan will be the contacts for International Clubs/Affinity clubs.

Much progress has been made in relation to alumni clubs, especially under Rob Newbold's leadership of the Alumni Board's Clubs' Committee.  Hopefully this structure will help strengthen collaboration further.
