About the Event:
The global economic crisis has brought focus to "firms too big to fail". Locally, we have felt the risks associated with our region's financial services sector concentration. For a positive response, attend our May 12th "Entrepreneurship in Turbulent Times" program which will stimulate thinking about the importance of entrepreneurial capitalism to economic well-being locally and globally.
Guest speakers, Ross Annable and Paul Wetenhall, will update us on the latest research about how innovative entrepreneurs drive economic growth globally. We will learn how the Charlotte region compares... entrepreneurial hot spot or big company town? The program will introduce us to Charlott's key entrepreneurial and innovation assets and how these can be leveraged to grow successful ventures in turbulent times. And, we will have a chance to meet some Ben Craig Center entrepreneurs. You can expect to take away a new perspective and specific ideas about how we can engage successfully with entrepreneurs. Learn more about the Ben Craig Center here.
