Wharton MBA Career Management Launches the Short Term Job Project Initiative
Dear Club Members,
Wharton MBA Career Management recently launched the Short Term Project Initiative, a program through which Wharton is collecting short term work from organizations across the globe to serve students and alumni who are seeking employment between longer term roles. Project work may be located anywhere in the world, in any industry or functional area, and may last from 6 weeks to 6 months, in most cases for a salary or stipend (although some are unpaid).
Wharton MBA Career Management has received over 30 positions at this time that are being marketed to MBA students and alumni. From an experience level standpoint, most positions are most appropriate for those alumni that are in the 0-5 year post-graduation group.
To apply for a project, please log in to CareerPath at https://wharton-csm.symplicity.com/sso/students/ or click here. You must first register in CareerPath and be approved before applying for these positions. Deadlines are quickly approaching so please apply for the desired positions as soon as possible.
Wharton will continue to collect and post projects as they receive them so check CareerPath for the latest additions. If you have questions about this initiative, please contact Wharton at 215-898-4383 or mbacareers@wharton.upenn.edu
CareerPath FAQs
What is CareerPath?
CareerPath is an integrated recruiting system that allows students and alumni to sign-up for career events and manage career opportunities. CareerPath is also the source for collecting career interest information for MBA Career Management alumni career resource development and internal statistical reporting.
How can I use this system to enhance my job search?
Once you complete the registration process, CareerPath allows you to access MBACM’s recruiter contact database in the “Company List” section of the site and search alumni job board positions (to be launched in mid-June) under the “CareerPath Opportunities” tab. In addition, any MBACM-hosted alumni programs and career fairs will be posted under the “Events” tab.
