Recession Proofing Your Business

Investing in the Russet Belt

Many of the companies that formed the basis of the RUST Belt have indeed rusted themselves and no longer exist. In their hay day they were powerhouses, but their business model clearly did not stand the test of “Built to Last”.

Frito Lay has been in existence since 1932

Despite experiencing the toughest economic conditions since the Great Depression, Frito Lay is experiencing robust sales and profits.

Dean Border, VP of Operations for Frito Lay, will lead us on a tour of Frito Lay’s Charlotte Plant. The tour will highlight the tremendous care that Frito Lay designs into its process to ensure the uniform high quality that its products enjoy as well as the efficiencies that allow its products to sell at value pricing that continues to contribute to the strong financial performance of the company.
