Represent us in the Wharton Alumni Business Plan Competition (WABPC) !
Last week, the Wharton Club of New York opened up the WABPC to the entire global Alumni community. Please submit your applications for 2010 at http://www.quia.com/sv/364272.html before Friday February 5th. Applications take only 20 minutes to complete.
RULES
All early stage ventures with at least one graduated Wharton alumnus on the team are welcome to apply. Applicants should have no prior VC funding, no more than $100K in angel funding, and no more than $200K in revenue. Concepts are welcome as well.
BACKGROUND
Modeled on the Wharton Student Business Plan competition, the WABPC seeks to encourage early-stage companies and concepts that the Wharton alumni community are developing to be put to a competitive forum for evaluation. Selected business plans will be showcased to potential angel and venture capital investors, successful entrepreneurs, service provides and others who can help these emerging entrepreneurs build their companies.
WHAT HAPPENS NEXT
Although the online application is due on February 5th, it should take no more than 20 minutes to complete and business plans and executive summaries are not due until February 22nd. After your submission, WABPC will contact you regarding the completion of your £125 application fee. We understand that the WABPC has some great judges lined up including alumnus Jeff Fluhr, founder of StubHub.com and executives from DFJ Gotham Ventures and the NYC Investment Fund. WABPC will announce the winner at the Wharton Club of New York's Entrepreneur's Gala on April 29, 2010.
INTERESTED?
For more information about the competition, please contact Mark Chou at mark.chou.wh09@wharton.upenn.edu. For those who have concepts or early stage businesses who would like to form a team in Charlotte, please contact Satheesh Pillai at satheesh.pillai.wg07@wharton.upenn.edu, who sometimes masquerades as the VP for Recent Alumni Outreach. For those who have nothing substantive to share for the competition this year given the late notice, this is a heads up for WABPC 2011.
Good luck!
