The Stanford GSB Alumni Association invites the Wharton Club of Charlotte to their upcoming event.
In what promises to be an evening of compelling discussion in a great venue with delicious refreshments, we invite you to meet Jeff Conway, who has built and manages a collection of high-end restaurants in Charlotte and the region.
Jeff will offer real insight into building and operating a company where vision is combined with hard-nosed financial controls and major league investor support. He can not only tell you within a penny or two what it costs to put a 16-ounce ribeye on your plate, but he will cover the highs and lows of building a billion-dollar retail services company … including a short tour in federal prison.
Jeff is CEO of Charlotte Prime, LLC, the holding company for seven major restaurants (4 Ruth’s Chris, two Napa bistros, and the Pump House in Ft. Mill) as well a number of Smoothie King franchises. An accountant / CPA by background, he is a deeply spiritual man who also served on the “Pathways to Economic Opportunity” Task Force (the subject of last October’s event in Charlotte put on by Tuck and Wharton).
Our venue will be Ruth’s Chris Uptown Charlotte location. We’ll have a private room, food and wine — and we wouldn’t be surprised if Jeff offered a discount of some sort to those who remained after the formal program concluded.
Please register no later than Monday, February 5.
